Taking a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to Muir Woods Visitor Center is possible, but not recommended.
Muir Woods has extremely limited cell service and no public Wi-Fi, which makes it difficult to request a return ride. Many visitors have been dropped off and were unable to book a rideshare to leave the park.
If you still plan to use Uber or Lyft, please make sure you have a backup plan for your return trip, such as scheduling a pick-up time in advance or arranging alternate transportation.
For a more reliable option, we recommend using the official Muir Woods Shuttle or making a parking reservation.
